Terms, Walked Before They're Final
What a walked quote commits to, what happens when the bucket meets rock, where the water is allowed to go, and who is in the seat. Eight short sections and no small print.
A number given from the road is a guess. A number given after the walk is a quote.
The walk, then the number
Every quote is walked on the property before it is written. It names the job, the length or depth, any rock allowance, and the price; from the moment it is written, it holds. The ranges on the service pages are what this county's work runs; the walked quote for your lot is the commitment.
When the bucket meets rock
Water has to go somewhere
Drainage work is designed so water leaves your lot without landing on the neighbor's. Where the only route out is a county ditch or an easement, you hear that on the walk, along with what it means for the design. Entrance culverts are sized to the ditch they cross, not to the pipe that happened to be on the truck.
Locates and lines
Public utilities are located before a bucket goes in the ground. Private lines, meaning irrigation, a septic lateral, low-voltage cable or anything else nobody marks, are yours to point out on the walk. Property pins and lines are yours to show; a swale cut on the wrong side of a pin becomes a neighbor dispute that no quote can settle.
Dirt work only
Grade, dig, trench, drain, pad, gravel. Where a job needs another trade before the dirt or after it, that is said on the walk-through and the other trade is yours to hire; it is not folded into a quote from us.

Who is in the seat
Think of this website as the gate at the end of the drive. The operator who walks your lot is the operator who runs the machine, and the work belongs to them from first cut to final pass. Ask that operator for proof of insurance at the walk; machines this size make it a fair question, and a working crew has the answer in the truck.
